 This year’s congregational picnic will be:
Sunday, June 5th, 2016 At the Elma Village Green (town park off of Bowen Rd) Worship will begin at 11am with Holy Communion, followed by our cook out and picnic. The church will provide hamburgers and hot dogs. Please bring your own table settings and a dish to pass. Bring family and friends! We had two great worship services this year for Easter! We just wanted to share our thanks for purchasing flowers and/or attending service! September 6th: 9:00 am September 13th: 8:00 am and 9:30 am September 20th: ONLY ONE SERVICE at 9:30 am. Congregational meeting to follow. September 27th: 8:00 am and 9:30 am (This will be the schedule until next Summer) St. John’s Preschool will be running our last fundraiser this month. We are selling Delta Sonic carwash tickets! They are $12 each for the super kiss carwash. With every ticket sold, you get a free $5 Delta Sonic gift card to use on a car wash or gas. On Sunday June 14th, I will be at church after the 9 am service to take any orders for those who are interested. I want to thank all of you ahead of time for your support. It is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please contact me (Leah Leuthauser) at the preschool, 652-2700.   This year, St. John’s congregational picnic will be a bit earlier than usual. Ours will be on Sunday, May 31st (a week after Memorial Day) at the #1 shelter in Elma Village Green Town Park, off of Bowen Rd. We will begin worship at 11am, and there will be NO 8 am or 9:30 am worship at the church on that day. Our Sunday School children will provide some of the music during worship.
Our Holy Week Worship Services are as follows:
Thursday 7 pm: Maundy Thursday service with Communion and foot washing. Friday 7 pm: Good Friday Tenebrae Service (Service of Darkness) Sunday: 6 am Easter Sunrise Service 8 am Easter Breakfast 9:30 am Easter Worship Service Easter Flowers can be ordered until March 22. Please send an order form (below) and payment to the church. At least once a month we will update the blog page with news and information about Saint John's. Look for the majority of new posts around the time the newsletter is mailed out! If anything else arises during the month, it will be posted. Please check back frequently!
