St. John's Preschool of Elma
Welcome!
St. John’s Preschool of Elma is a non-profit organization which has served Elma and the surrounding community since 1986. We are tucked away on Woodard Road in a quaint country setting, next to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Our school is a semi-structured play-based preschool for three and four year old children. While we recognize the importance of academics and plan to have your child ready for Kindergarten, our primary task is to work on socialization: working with others, sharing, listening, following directions; and establishing a sense of accomplishment through the process of completing class activities.
In general, our year is based on weekly themes from Nursery Rhymes to Good Foods, Farm Animals, to the Four Seasons! Each theme includes activities that will expose your child to numbers, letters, colors, shapes, large and small muscle coordination, music and art expression, and more. In addition, we take several field trips throughout the year to help augment our program.
We are currently only offering one session. The Morning Session (9 am - Noon) offers a more traditional setting with teacher-led instruction. For more information, visit us on our website www.StJohnsPKElma.org.
